I’m sure fans of Twilight will know who Bella is. The romantically love between Bella and Eward.  Yes, this deal involves Bella here.. But are we talking about the same kind of Bella here? I’m afraid this is not the same Bella as what you think.. But no harm checking this ‘Bella deal’ out right?

Now do you know why this is the Bella deal? That’s cause you will be staying at the Bella Vista Hotel in Langkawi! If you have been wanting to get away from the buzzing life in Singapore, Langkawi is another destination you can consider visiting besides the usual Bintan and Batam.

The terms and conditions are pretty straightforward here as well without any tax or additional charge needed, but do take note of the peak season and school holidays surcharge should you choose to travel during that period. Without further ado, let’s do a check with Agoda.com and Booking.com for the rate should you choose to make the booking on your own. Let’s take two different travel period over the weekend for both non-peak and peak period to compare on the prices.

Firstly for the peak period, assuming that you wish to travel over a weekend from 8 June (Friday) – 10 June (Sunday) and another date for the non-peak period from 22 June (Friday) – 24 June (Sunday). The rates are as follows:

How about the price for this deal? Notice that the price stated of $98 is for 1 person. Don’t get confused here, as the surcharge for the peak period is based on per room per night, therefore the total price you have to pay for two pax should you choose to travel on the peak would be:

2 vouchers:

$98 * 2 = $196

Peak period surcharge ($20/room/night):

$20 *2 nights = $40

Total for 2 pax:

$196 + $40 = $236

Comparing this price to what you can get at Agoda.com and Booking.com, you are paying so much more for what you are getting during the peak period!

Even if you choose to go during the non-peak period, you are still paying more for this deal…

$98 * 2 = $196

Taking the cheapest price we gathered from Booking.com for the non-peak period, you are still paying for $196 – $120.45 = $75.55 MORE for two pax! That would means that for one you are paying $75.55/2 = $37.78 MORE!

Now, let us go to the extra mile for you and check out the flight tickets. Let’s take the same traveling dates from 8 June – 10 June & 22 June – 24 June.

A check with Airasia (the only budget airline that fly to Langkawi), the price are as follows:

If you have been planning for a trip to Langkawi, we suggest you to plan and make the booking on your own or source for other deals to Langkawi as you will definitely be paying more for what you get! What’s the perk for this deal is the Return Airport transfer, however we wouldn’t think that you have to pay for more than $37.78 each just to get to the hotel.

We shall not comment any further on this deal, “The Bella Deal” is not that attractive after all.
