Believe it or not, here at ADL, we tracks and monitor the local group buying industry daily. Yes.. DAILY. Without fail. We collect historical deal details from a list of active daily deal sites in Singapore. This list of daily deal sites changes monthly, as every month there may be some deal sites which exit the market and become inactive.

ADL Data consists of two parts, the Monthly General Report, and the Raw Data Report .

Monthly General Report

The monthly general reports will provide an overview of the local daily deals industry. Included in this report will be the following:

  • Performance ranking – In terms of total revenue from revenue generating deals
  • Performance ranking – In terms of total coupons sold from revenue generating deals
  • Performance ranking – In terms of no. of revenue generating deals
  • No. of deals offered, total coupons sold, total revenue, average revenue, and average price for each category of deals (ADL classifies deals into 11 separate categories).
  • Top 10 performing deals in each category (exclusive of the non-revenue generating categories such as Lucky Draw, Charity and Free Promotion)
  • Ranking of deal sites in terms of the number of deals they offered in each category
  • Top 10 performing deals (in terms of revenue generated)
  • Top 10 performing deals (in terms of total coupons sold)

Raw Data Report

Raw Data Report consists of three separate files.

1) Deal Sites Performance Summary – This file contains a summary of the performance of each deal site in terms of the following

  • Number of deals, total number of coupons sold, total revenue generated from each of the 11 categories of deals
  • Total number of deals offered
  • Total number of coupons sold
  • Average number of coupons sold per day
  • Total number of days all deals are held
  • Average number of days a deal is held
  • Highest grossing deal
  • Lowest grossing deal
  • Most bought deal
  • Least bought deal
  • Number of Facebook likes on the first day of the month, on the last day of the month, and the corresponding percentage change
  • Alexa ranking on the first day of the month, on the last day of the month, and the corresponding change

2) Industry Overview – This file contains information on the overall performance of the industry. Information provided includes

  • Overview (in terms of total revenue, total no. of deals, total no. of coupons sold etc)
  • Overview of deal sites performance (with detailed figures)
  • Category breakdown (with detailed figures)

3) Master Deal List – This file contains information of all the deals being offered in that particular month. Information provided includes

  • Deal Details
    • Category of deal (ADL classifies all deals into 12 separate different categories)
    • Sub category of deal (under each main categories, deals are further classified into separate sub categories. For example, for the main category of “F&B”, there will be sub categories like “Buffet”)
    • Deal title
    • Start Date ( date the deal first appeared on the deal site)
    • Number of days deal is held
    • Price of deal
    • Total Bought
    • Total Revenue (price of deal x total bought)
    • Comment
    • Note
  • Merchant Information
    • Merchant Name
    • Merchant Address (if any)
    • Merchant Contact Number (if any)
    • Merchant Email (if any)
    • Merchant Website (if any)

Format

  • Raw Data Report will be in Excel Format (ie: all three files will be in Excel Format)
